Plantaardige middelen bij overgangsklachten
De overgang (climacterium) markeert het einde van de vruchtbare levensfase van een vrouw. Ongeveer 80% van de vrouwen krijgt overgangsklachten, met name vasomotore klachten zoals opvliegers. Verschillende plantaardige middelen kunnen deze vrouwenklachten verlichten. Zilverkaars is het populairste kruid bij overgangsklachten. Maca en ashwagandha kunnen ook soelaas bieden bij overgangsklachten, evenals pycnogenol. In deze bijdrage worden enkele van deze kruiden/ fytonutriënten besproken.
