
Van de volwassenen heeft 20 tot 30% last van slapeloosheid. Slechts 10 tot 15% van deze volwassenen raadpleegt hiervoor een arts. Voedingssupplementen, en met name melatonine is een veelvuldig gebruikt alternatief voor slaapmiddelen. Is dat terecht of worden effectiviteit en veiligheid overschat?
